Meet Lauren

Lauren Alexander has worked in the field of conservation since 1993, and was awarded the distinction of Professional Associate by the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and has been a member since 2012. Lauren also takes membership from the Western Association of Art Conservation (WAAC).

At Carrabba Conservation, Inc., a very prestigious private conservation company in Austin, Texas, Lauren was employed as an Associate Conservator for the past 18 years. She also volunteered at the University of Texas Harry Ransom Center in the Paper Conservation Department for a period of two years.

Before moving to the United States, Lauren had her own private practice in Mexico City that operated over the course of 9 years. She previously worked as a paper conservation technician in the paper conservation laboratory at the Centro Nacional de Conservacion y Registro del Patrimonio Artistico.
